Our Story

High Impact Movement (H.I.M.) is dedicated to nurturing future leaders who positively influence their communities and the world.

Since its inception in 2018, High Impact Movement has been committed to serving the next generation in Hot Springs and its local schools. Recognizing a troubling decline in youth engagement, academic performance, and participation in community organizations, founders Amos and Carol Gray launched this organization to bridge the gap between these vital entities and the youth they serve.

With a vision rooted in empowerment, High Impact Movement strives to equip young people with the information and opportunities necessary for success across all areas of life. Understanding that holistic support involves every aspect of a young person's environment, we aim to foster partnerships that create a robust network of encouragement and guidance.

High Impact Movement has developed a variety of programs designed to facilitate growth and advancement in young people's lives. One flagship initiative is the Impact School Presentations, which delivers essential information to students within public schools.

Collaborating closely with teachers and administrators, this program focuses on promoting academic, social, and moral success through topics such as healthy relationships, decision-making, leadership, and self-discovery, all derived from a research-based curriculum developed in partnership with experts nationwide.

Our community-based program, Impact Academy, initiated in 2018, has seen remarkable growth, expanding from 15 to 165 students daily. Operating five days a week, our after-school program provides a range of services, including social-emotional learning, sports, academic enrichment, and employability skills training.

Now housed at 109 W Belding, we are grateful for our partnerships with Champion College and Majestic Park, which allow us to offer safe and enriching environments for our students to learn and thrive. With a dedicated team of part-time and full-time staff, we continue to adapt and strengthen our programs to meet the evolving needs of our community.
